We are delighted to invite you to the upcoming webinar on Domestic Financing for Assistive Technology on 16 September, at 08:00 and 16:00 (CEST) hosted by ATscale, the Global Partnership for Assistive Technology.

Affordability is a major barrier to accessing assistive technology and in many countries, utilization is more governed by ability-to-pay than need. This webinar will launch a Technical Report on Domestic Financing for Assistive Technology which supports countries to develop their financing systems for access to affordable assistive technology. The webinar will present and discuss how countries can increase and find complementarity in funding, mitigate harmful effects of user payments, prioritize resources to support affordable access, and support the many non-government organizations in the sector to be effective.

The session will present and discuss challenges and policy recommendations, and will be an exciting peer learning opportunity for policymakers, government representatives, private sector partners, development organizations and academics from around the world.
