ATscale will be leading an interactive session which will bring together innovators, assistive technology (AT) users, policymakers, donors, and disability advocates to explore how Africa can build truly sustainable ecosystems for assistive technology.
he first webinar in the series is on the topic Guidance for Market Entry in AT: Focus on select African countries scheduled on 27 May, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM (CET). The discussion will be structured as a cross-sectoral dialogue with representatives from the public and private sectors and NGOs on the challenges of market entry in the African AT sector, stories of success and the path forward.
The third Global Disability Summit (GDS), hosted by the governments of Germany and Jordan, in collaboration with the International Disability Alliance (IDA), will take place in Berlin in April 2025.
Join us at the World Health Summit in Berlin, Germany, for a high-level, invitation-only strategic roundtable on assistive technology. The session entitled "Investing in assistive technology: an investment in our future" will take place on Sunday, 13 October 2024, from 16:00 to 17:30 CET in person at JW Marriott Hotel Berlin.
This high-level official side-event at the UN SUMMIT OF THE FUTURE ACTION DAYS is co-hosted by the Government of the United States, the Government of Rwanda, ATscale, the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), the International Disability Alliance (IDA), Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub), UNOPS, and UNICEF.
This session, is co-hosted by African Union, ATscale and ILO. The session will try to understand the importance of assistive technology, explore the challenges of access to AT and find cross-sectoral approaches to address these challenges and learn about success stories.
