Exploring Disability, Youth & Employment

How AI-enhanced Digital Assistive Technology (AT) can break barriers in low-and-middle income countries.

The pace of innovation in digital assistive technology (AT), driven by the increased availability of Artificial Intelligence (AI), offers unique opportunities to address the needs of people with a disability, globally and specifically in low-and-middle income countries. The AI-driven products that are emerging, enable barriers to be broken, equalizing the playing field for people with disabilities.

This event brought together a curated group of experts, thought-leaders, and people with lived experience from low-and-middle income countries alongside the research community, technology companies, and the digital AT industry for a one-day ideation workshop.

All attendees were also invited to attend the Remarkable Tech Summit, 3-6 October 2023.

The text reads 'Discussion Initiators: David Banes; Pascal Bijleveld; Keely Cat-Wells; Julius Mbura; Pete Horsley; Bernard Chiira; Erin Buehler; Shareena Hatta.' There are 7 circles with headshots of the 8 individuals.
