ATscale Private Sector Board Constituency

The ATscale Private Sector Constituency was established to bring diverse private sector perspectives into ATscale’s strategy and governance. The private sector plays a vital role in the development, production, distribution, and innovation of assistive technology. This group provides a dedicated forum to engage with ATscale and with each other - sharing insights, advising on strategic directions, and identifying opportunities to expand access to life-changing assistive technology globally.

Members contribute their experience across a range of domains, including digital accessibility, eyeglasses, hearing aids, prosthetics, wheelchairs, and inclusive product design. The group includes individuals from multinational companies, SMEs, social enterprises, and innovators - reflecting the diversity of business models and markets shaping the AT ecosystem today.

The group plays a strategic advisory role, offering input on topics such as:

  • Market shaping and sustainable supply

  • Innovation and product development

  • Service delivery models in low- and middle-income countries

  • Financing and procurement strategies

  • Public–private collaboration

The Constituency meets regularly and is supported by the ATscale Secretariat. Members serve in a personal, voluntary capacity for a term of up to three years.

The group elects one of its members to serve as the Private Sector Representative on the ATscale Board, along with an Alternate, helping ensure that private sector perspectives are included in ATscale’s highest-level decision-making processes.
