2023 Assistive Technology Industry Association Conference: Presentation

ATscale CEO Pascal Bijleveld and Head of Markets and Global Programmes Emily Wooton held a presentation titled Reaching the Unreached: Increasing Access to AT in Low-resource Countries.

ATscale CEO Pascal Bijleveld and Head of Markets and Global Programmes Emily Wooton shed light on the unequal distribution of access to assistive technology between high income countries and low-and-middle income countries. Access coverage to AT is on average 90% in HIC, as opposed to 10% in LMICs.

The presentation also showcased ATscale's efforts to address this disparity and included an interactive part in which attendees shared ideas to improve access to digital assistive technology in LMICs.

The session benefited from the attendance of a broad variety of participants, including manufacturers, practitioners, researchers and teachers.
