Prepositioning of assistive products for humanitarian emergencies

ATscale's pre-positioning programme of assistive technology kits for humanitarian emergencies aims to address the current global gaps. These kits, costing approximately US$25,000 and designed for a population of 10,000 with 400 direct beneficiaries, were first deployed in March 2025 to Myanmar, and contain 437 assistive products including crutches, canes, walkers, toilet and shower chairs, and wheelchairs. A decision tree has been developed to guide the release of these kits for humanitarian emergencies, ensuring coordinated efforts and considering logistical challenges.
